Cultured Stone

cultured_bigGet that finished look with Cultured Stone.

You want to make your home decor stand out with an exotic look. Natural stones undoubtedly give you that glamour but it can get quite sore on the pocket. Cultured stone is then the perfect rescue.

Cultured stone is a mixture of various materials and coated to give the real natural look. It is much lighter than the natural stone and hence can be easily worked with. Due to its lightweight features it does not require any foundation below it for support. Hence work can begin from top down.

How are cultured stones formed? Textures, sizes, shapes are meticulously studied from natural stones. They are then put into moulds of the natural stone to replicate the texture and even colour. They generally contain a concrete mix. Every colour differs with the ingredients blended within. So perfect are these cultured stones that even on close scrutiny one will not be able to differentiate between the two.

Cultured stones can change the entire look of your house. A small corner or window done with cultured stone can make people stand and stare. The entrance, the fireplace or around the house, are the common places one would use cultured stones. Besides this you can always be innovative in using it in more areas of your home, giving it a peculiar character.

Besides it is only up to 3 inches in height as against natural stones that have more depth. Hence you can manipulate it to your advantage. Mixing and matching is much easier as against the usage of natural stone that would restrict you to use only one type. The thin cultured stones get easily stuck to the mortar base applied without the risk of falling off.

Cultured stones are available in plenty and sheer look alikes of the parent stones are found. From limestone, granite, firestone to river rock. Every house, be it colonial or formal there are stones to match it. And these cultured stones go well with wood or vinyl or any other siding material.

They can be cut to any degree you desire, making it fit into an arc or a pillar edge. Innovations with cultured stone are plenty and it will never let your home go out of fashion.
